Jason’s baptism into music started as a DJ playing at parties for family and friends. By the time he was 15 he was DJ’ing Professionally at various Night Clubs – keeping a very low profile from i.d. inspectors and his parents alike! At the same time he became interested in how music was made and struck up a relationship with a local studio owner and began dropping-in to remix, write, produce and engineer for local artists. One song that he wrote and Produced even became a No.1 Single in South Africa. From there Jason became Chief Engineer at the legendary Battery Studios in London and suddenly found himself as the favoured Engineer for all the Jive Records artists coming through the UK including Groove Armada,. Kealer, Emma Holland and Jason Downs. When Battery closed in 2004 Jason tried his hand at A&R working with Jive but within weeks was longing for the studio and jumped at the opportunity to mix the Basement Jaxx smash “Oh My Gosh”. Following a chance introduction to Marius De Vries they struck-up a vibrant relationship that lead to Jason Engineering and Programming on all his UK productions including helping steer the mixing and post-production of David Gray’s “Slow Motion”.

After gaining fantastic attention for his  mixes with Shy Child (pias/wos) Jason went on to Mix an album for Thomas Troelsen's new band 'Private' (Universal).  The singles and album have gone to #1 in Denmark (Private's home) amid a whirl of amazing press attention.  Expect to see their über Glamour make its way to the rest of world soon.  Jason recently dropped in with the Basement Jaxx to laser guide some recording whilst also establishing a strong relationship with City Rockers Producing a single for Middleman and working on new tracks with Glaswegian electro act Big Face.Jason has just finished work on the STUNNING debut album for Lisa Hannigan and is now finalising the debut album with Belgian duo ‘Soldout’
